Time for another Christmas gif!
When I made the gif last year, I had a bunch of ideas for how to improve the script, both in terms of tidiness, ease of use and visuals. This year, I tried setting up the script so it references the active Rhino CPlane, so that it would be easier to apply the script to any future model (and also avoids the issues with rotating in different 3D planes). I also added additional falling snowflakes, to get more of a winter wonderland feel. As I was in the middle of this, it struck me that I should be using this problem as chance to practice my python scripting, so I basically started over to try to do that.
Using python turned out to be much more difficult than I imagined. I'm a total beginner, so I basically created a monster, probably overcomplicated everything a million times, but I got something that works in the end. And I learned a lot - especially
